Get involved.
Matthew 25 International began as a mission’s work in 1996 with John and Amber Kimball. While in the process of training pastors and leaders, the Lord directed the Kimball’s to reach the orphaned and abandoned children of Peru. The vision included a church, school and children’s home located on the same property for the expressed purpose to Shelter, Educate and Evangelize. The Assemblies of God of Peru has partnered with us by providing the property. Our first project is located in Tingo Maria. Four other pieces of property have been made available for similar projects throughout Peru. This is a nationally approved project by Assemblies of God of Peru and has been approved by the Assemblies of God in the United States.

In Peru, our responsibility began with reaching orphaned and abandoned children. In order to do this we knew by the Holy Spirit that a church, school and children’s home would have to be developed for the purpose of shelter, education and evangelism.
Since 1997, we have moved forward partnering with the Assemblies of God of Peru with that responsibility. The church, school and children’s home complete the three-fold mission stated above.

Shelter
Children’s Home Construction….
Presently, we have a 3 story building with room for 150 children. The interior of the third floor will be completed as the need arises for more beds. Assemblies of God Superintendant, Rodrigo Espinoza Celadita of Peru, and the Executive Staff stated in a letter dated February 25, 2010 to Rev. John Bueno, Executive Director of Assemblies of God World Missions, the following: “Tingo Maria is one of the most injured places by terrorists and drug dealers which resulted in many orphans and abandoned children” “We the National Staff of the Assemblies of God of Peru with one mind continue working with Calvary Covenant Ministries (Matthew 25 International) beg you to give necessary endorsements to Pastor Kimball in order to go ahead with the project of his ministry in our nation.” This is the first stand alone children’s home for the Assemblies of God in Peru. Matthew 25:40 (KJV)And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Shelter and care for these orphaned and abandoned children is the first step in the vision for Matthew 25 International in Peru. |
Education
School
Education in Peru has improved throughout the past years, with the average length of education rising to seven years. The Assemblies of God and Matthew 25 International work together to provide the best education in the Tingo Maria region. Quality education with a spiritual foundation is provided for 500 students from kindergarten to graduation. There is a small fee for enrolled students except for the children who live in the children’s home. The school is located in the same area as the children’s home therefore, serving as another link to the vision of Matthew 25.

Evangelism
Church
The third link in the vision for Matthew 25 International is evangelism. Evangelism is the all important link to the plan and vision the Lord has placed before us. In September of 2009, construction began on a 2,500 seat worship center. This church is on the same property as the children’s home. We have come to know that humanitarian aid without the gospel leads to failure and false hope. Reaching these young people for Christ is our goal and with your help and God’s blessing it will be done.

Shipibo Tribe
The Lord gave us a plan to meet the spiritual and educational needs of this tribe in the area where they live. The plan was to build a building which will serve both as a church and a school. Currently, there are 45 children committed to the program. Our hope is to have the building in place by next school year. Currently we have about 50% of the work done. We still need additional funds to complete the work.
